I recently appeared on the Lions of Liberty podcast to talk about why libertarians should care about “state’s rights” and the importance of political decentralization as a strategy to advance liberty.http://lionsofliberty.com/2017/01/30/280/
“The bigger the government is, the more powerful it is, the more authority it wields, the more people it has control over, the more dangerous it is to liberty.”
A few weeks ago during an interview on the Lions of Liberty podcast, Libertarian Party National Committee Chairman Nicholas Sarwark called Ron Paul’s support for “states’ rights” “anti-libertarian.” I wrote a response you can read HERE, Marc Clair invited me to come on the show to elaborate on my view – that “states rights” and decentralization are crucial for liberty.
During the interview, we delve into why I believe using the federal government to “enforce” liberty int the states is dangerous, the intended scope of the Bill of Rights, the fallacy of the “incorporation doctrine,” and the mission of the Tenth Amendment Center. We also talk a little about my own political evolution.
