Over the last few weeks, several videos popped up showing Donald Trump supporters roughing up protesters. In Louisville Trump disciples shoved a young girl around. In North Carolina, a guy sucker punched a young black man heckling the crowd. Police threw the protester to the ground. 
On Friday, Trump canceled a campaign event in Chicago due to “security concerns” after leftist protesters clashed with Trump supporters. Media accounts described “violent scuffles.” Three people suffered injuries, including a police officer.
Basically we are witnessing two mobs vie for the levers of power – the essence of politics.
Both of these “right wing” and “left wing” groups ultimately want to control an institution that claims a monopoly on “legitimate” coercion, force and violence – government.
