Earlier in the week, I wrote a post titled Yes. Non-Citizens Have Rights. It created the proverbial poop-storm.
The comments and emails made it clear that a lot of Americans don’t understand rights. They think their rights come from government, or from a document written over 200 years ago. Furthermore, they can’t differentiate between rights and privileges.
In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I expand on my article. I differentiate between rights and privileges, talk about where rights come from and explain clearly why non-citizens do indeed have rights.
