“10 Minutes Closer to Freedom”

In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I talk about the preamble to the U.S. Constitution – what it tells us and what it doesn’t.

If you’re an American, you’re probably familiar with the preamble to the Constitution. In fact, you may well have memorized it at some point in your school years. But for a lot of Americans, that’s virtually all they know about the Constitution. This creates problems because the preamble doesn’t really tell us a whole lot. When it comes to the powers of the federal government, it tells us absolutely nothing.

In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I talk about a couple of important things the preamble reveals, and explain why it doesn’t tell us anything about the nature, scope or power of the federal government.
